Binance CEO Reacts to Buterin’s Attack on Centralized Crypto Exchanges

In an interview with TechCrunch last week, Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin said he hoped that all centralized  crypto exchanges ” burn in hell.” Changpeng Zhao the CEO and founder of Binance did not agree with Buterin’s proposal and explained on Twitter why decentralization cannot be attained without the help of centralized entities.

Last week Vitalik Buterin, known for his direct nature, gave his opinion on centralized crypto exchanges in an interview :

“I really hope centralized exchanges will burn in hell.“

Almost unnecessarily to mention that this statement has spread like fire in the crypto community, Changpeng, CEO of Binance, currently the second largest platform in the 24-hour trading volume, has commented on Twitter :

Got asked a few times, re: “Vitalik’s burn in hell.”

Let’s not wish others to “burn in hell.” Let’s have a bigger heart, and appreciate the fact that we are part of an ecosystem…

Zhao pointed out that everyone needs to see the big picture. Accordingly, he emphasized the important role that fiat currencies play in the development of decentralization.
